NEWS UPDATES

    01/04/2021
  • I hope the holidays are going well for you and for your families. As you all know, this past September we made the decision to postpone the WIN Expo, slotted for December 3rd to March 4th. We believed, at the time, that by March, we would be able to produce a high-quality event, even with the additional safety precautions in place. However, despite our positive thoughts and best intentions, we were wrong.

I’m writing to let you know that after many conversations with our exhibitors, along with reviewing the feedback from the survey this week, we’ve decided to cancel a March event, put 2020 behind us and focus on making the 2021 WIN Expo, scheduled for December 2nd, our largest one yet.

Thank you all for your continued support and partnership in making the WIN Expo the best trade show and conference for the north coast.

  • As you all know, there's been no significant progress made with regard to reopening and at this time, the idea of being able to produce and promote a trade show and conference, as well as deliver the level of attendance that you all have become accustomed to, is not a realistic one, so we are postponing the Expo.

However, we do have some very good news.

We were able to secure a date 13 weeks later, on March 4th, 2021, at the same location. We feel confident that in March we will be able to produce the kind of event, and attendance levels, that you have all come to expect of us. Given the challenges the entire North Coast industry has experienced in 2020, we feel it's incredibly important for us to do all we can to bring together our industry community and make sure 2021 is as successful for our exhibitors as it is for our winery attendees.

Please reach out with any questions and as always, thank you for your patience and your support.

  • We hope that you and your family, friends and colleagues are continuing to stay healthy during such unpredictable and unprecedented times.

We are closely monitoring COVID-19 developments both domestically and internationally and want to share with you our approach to conducting a safe 2020 Wine Industry Expo (WIN Expo) slated for Thursday, December 3rd.

Different localities are currently experiencing varying levels of success and failure in containing the spread of COVID-19, and it seems to be changing on a daily/weekly basis. However, we are optimistic and believe there is sufficient time between now and December 3rd for the North Coast community to get the spread under control, so that we can proceed safely with the WIN Expo, and as of today, we are not planning to cancel or postpone this year’s show.

Our plan is to continue monitoring the situation and see how things unfold between now and Labor Day. At that time, we’ll have a much better sense for what December will look like and will provide another update on the status of the show the week of September 7th.

In the event that there is no foreseeable way to produce a safe and successful trade show and conference, our plan is to give our exhibitors a full refund.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,
    - George Christie and the Wine Industry Network Team
